Who can use Cornr

You need to be 17 or older and able to enter an agreement where you live. One account per person. Do not create an account for someone else, and do not hand yours to anyone.

Where you say you live

Your cornr is meant to be the block you actually live on. Deliberately placing yourself somewhere you do not live, whether to watch a neighbourhood you are not part of or to reach people who did not invite you, is the one thing that breaks Cornr completely, and it will end your account.

What you write

You keep ownership of everything you write. You give us permission to store it and show it to your neighbours so the app can work, and nothing beyond that. We do not licence your words to anyone, use them in advertising, or train models on them.

Don't post: threats, harassment, or hate directed at anyone; anything sexual involving minors; anything illegal; someone else's private information; spam, scams, or repeated advertising. This is not an exhaustive list, it is the shape of the thing.

Reporting and moderation

Every post, person, and host can be reported from inside the app. A person reads those reports, and we act on them within 24 hours. We can remove content or suspend accounts when something breaks these terms.

You can also hide a post, mute someone quietly, or block them outright. Blocking hides you from each other completely.

Meeting neighbors

Cornr can introduce you to people nearby, but we do not verify anyone's identity and cannot vouch for them. Use the judgment you'd use meeting anyone new: meet in public first, and tell someone where you're going. Anything that happens offline is between those people.

Host perks

Perks are offered by local businesses, not by Cornr. The business decides what the perk is, honours it at their counter, and is responsible for it. If a perk is not honoured, tell us and we will take it up with the host, though the agreement is theirs.

A perk is redeemable once per person, and only while you're active on that cornr. Redemption codes are for you, not for sharing.

Ending things

You can delete your account any time in You → Settings → Delete account. It's immediate and permanent.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If it is not clear cut, we will tell you why first.

The honest caveats

Cornr is provided as-is. We cannot promise it will always be available, that messages will always arrive, or that nothing will ever be lost. Talk and posts are designed to disappear, so treat nothing here as permanent storage.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability is limited to what you've paid us in the past twelve months.

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
